Welcome to Gutsy

..........

"I love good tasting food, its part of the legacy of growing up with an awesome chef as your mum. But health, especially after the covid years has become increasingly important so why not start a bakery that allows you to eat good food with the added benefit of good health. Thats how Gutsy was born."

Isabelle Ma, Founder & Baker

The Gutsy Ethos

Substance Over Style

Gutsy is a bakery focusing on products that promote good health, more importantly good gut health. We hand make all our products with an emphasis on natural ingredients, high nutrition and diversity using traditional techniques of long slow fermentation. We don't take shortcuts when it comes to your health, its only the best for our customers.

Artisan Sourdough Loaves

Our wild yeast starter and long fermentation act as a natural preservative and flavour enhancer, giving our bread superb depth of flavour, character and much higher nutritional value.

Sourdough Wholewheat Croissants

Flavourful and complex from the long slow fermentation of the natural yeast. These croissants have a flaky-crisp crust and soft, buttery inside with a slight nutty taste from the whole wheat flour. Totally irresistable!

Sourdough Scones

Growing up in England, our Chef Isabelle could not resist including these in the Gutsy menu. Made with fibre rich einkorn flour and natural yeast, the scones pair perfectly with clotted cream and jam.

Sourdough Crackers

Handmade crackers with our "Rosie" sourdough starter. Fermented for 24 hours. All natural ingredients including whole wheat flour, sesame seeds and poppy seeds. High in fibre, low in sugar, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Perfect snack replacement for chips.

Sourdough Brownies

Soft and moist and rich in flavour thanks to the sourdough starter we add. These melt in your mouth brownies satisfy your dessert craving without becoming overwhelming. 70% dark chocolate balances out the sweetness and we sneak in some rye flour to add more fibre and malty notes.
